We
have exciting opportunities for Clinical Service Managers to work in
Nottingham CityCares Children and Families division, as part of the Childrens Public Health 0 to19 Nursing Service. We deliver Public Health
interventions with a skill mixed team who are part of the Childrens Public
Health 0 to19 Nursing Service workforce. Our teams deliver services committed to
giving the Children of Nottingham City, The Best Start in life.
CityCare is a dynamic Social Enterprise,
providing a broad range of services to Children and Adults. You would be
working in partnership with other
Clinical Service Managers to support the delivery of an integrated early
intervention and prevention service for children and young people aged 0 to 19 and
their families in line with the Healthy Child Programme.

The hours
of work will be 37.5 WTE. The Service hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
excluding weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
- You will have excellent communication skills and the
ability to lead through motivational coaching and role modelling.
- You will have an excellent knowledge of the current developments
in public health alongside a proven track record of continuous professional
development and innovative leadership and management skills.
- An interest and ability to be involved in our project
management domains, Practice, People, Performance and Places, all of which
direct the transformation of our 0 to19 service delivery, ensuring we are at the
forefront of delivering effective public health interventions to children,
young people and their families within Nottingham City.

improvement in line with national and local strategic and operational plans.
This includes working within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care
System and Partnership Care Network, striving to enable Nottingham City to
deliver excellent joined up health care services in alignment with our
partners.

Service Leads who will work closely with you to lead our 0 to 19 teams ensuring
supportive wellbeing for our staff and the delivery of our public health

- To work in partnership with other Clinical
Service Managers to support the delivery of an integrated service for
children and young people aged 0 to19 and their families.
- To lead, manage and support a geographically
based, core service team for children and young people aged 0 to 19 and their
families.
- To lead, manage and support specialist
services for children, young people and their families where required.
- To foster a culture of partnership working and
continuous improvement in line with national and local strategic and
operational plans.
- To lead and facilitate a culture of collegiate
working to deliver high quality childrens services throughout Nottingham
City and across the 0 to 19 age range.
- To work collaboratively with other providers
of preventative, universal or specialist services to deliver accessible,
responsive, and effective care and support to children, young people and
their families throughout Nottingham City.
Dimensions
The Clinical Service Manager will be responsible
for:
- Staff management, including all aspects of human
resource policy and procedure.
- Financial
management, including authorisation of staff expenses, stock ordering and
service budget oversight.
- Working
in partnership with the Business Unit to monitor and review service
performance management in accordance with organisational objectives and
contractual requirements, such as completing performance reports.
- Supporting
the delivery of statutory returns, such as audit and inspection reports.
- Supporting
service improvement by leading and/or participating in corporate and local
work programmes relating to our 4Ps including projects, workshops, or other
initiatives and supporting the implementation of new working practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
- To contribute to the development
of initiatives and outputs that lead to a fully integrated service that
effectively meets the needs of children, young people, and their families.
- To work in partnership with other
managers in order to facilitate the cultural change required to fully
integrate childrens services.
- To participate in contract service reviews and service negotiations as
appropriate.
- To support the implementation of initiatives that lead to the delivery
of organisational strategy.
Managerial
- To
act as a role model and provide high quality leadership and operational
management to core and specialist childrens services.
- To
authorise and
monitor additional hours forms, travel claims and all relevant HR process documentation
for direct reports.
- To
monitor and manage staff sickness and absence levels as per Nottingham
CityCare policy and procedure for direct reports. With support from HR, line
manager the Childrens Public Health 0 to 19 Nursing Service staff members when
higher level actions are required.

lead, in conjunction with other managers, on workforce planning and the
recruitment of staff.

lead and support the implementation of organisational change.

lead and promote teamwork and integrated working.
- To
manage effective systems, processes, and reporting mechanisms to support
