Job summary

We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurses to join our Community Nursing service working with people across our community in Nottingham City. The service operates from 08:00 to 18:00 seven days a week, and a variety of shifts available with full time/ part time hours/flexible hours available. During this period, we provide nursing care for people registered with a City General Practitioner, both in their own homes, delivering End of Life Care, Catheter Care Wound Care Medication Administration Continence management. and attending to other urgent and non-urgent nursing needs.

You will need to be a car owner, driver with a full UK current driving licence.

Job Purpose

  • To provide community nursing care to a wide variety of patients in their own home.
  • To work within the wider integrated health and social team in the community, providing holistic care to patients. This nursing care includes acute and chronic wound management, medication administration, catheter care, palliative care, long term conditions/ self-care.
  • To provide holistic and individualised care to patients and carers as delegated by the Team Leader or deputy, working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • To regularly take responsibility for care and workload management in the absence of the Team Leader or deputy.

Dimensions

  • To provide nursing care across a diverse population for patients who are registered with a Nottingham City GP
  • To participate actively in the services training strategy, including mandatory training and other identified necessary for this role
  • To work across the Nottingham City Community Nursing Teams
  • To supervise and support student nurses on placements with the community nursing teams.
