An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time (37.5 hours ) Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse at the Strelley District Nursing Team. This is a fixed term post for One year.

This post would be an excellent development opportunity for an experienced band 5 community nurse wishing to expand their skills in leadership and management.

Main duties of the job

The role of a Senior Staff Nurse is to assist with supporting the District Nurse Team Leaders with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care to address the complex and changing health and wellbeing of individuals within their home environment.

Job Purpose

  • To have continuing responsibility for the maintenance of a high standard of care to the patients and carers on the DN caseload
  • To contribute to the continuing management of the caseload, DN team and related resources
  • To contribute to strategies and policies for DN service improvement and development
  • To take an active role in the delivery of Public Health agenda
  • To deliver training and education sessions to staff

  • To be responsible for the holistic assessment of the health and wellbeing needs of referred patients and carers, using analytical and interpretive techniques.
