Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist within Young Minds Matter (CAMHS) children in care team. We are expanding and seek a motivated individual who is committed to improving the lives of children in care. The team provides a full range of interventions, ranging from brief advice and information right through to complex mental health treatment. We are a small team and work closely with our colleagues in social care. Its a great time to join us as we are developing our offer and we have some exciting new projects in progress.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will play a key role within the multi-agency partnership to ensure thorough oversight and understanding of the needs of children who reside in placements external to North East Lincolnshire. The individual will develop psychologically informed formulations to support appropriate placement recommendations as part of the multi-agency approach.
The role will involve providing psychological advice and support to the professionals around the child, including residential staff and social workers. The postholder will provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people. The individual will be involved in the provision of training to other professionals as well as contributing to the development of new training packages. Frequent attendance will be required at multi-agency meetings in order to contribute to systemic thinking within the network and to contribute to multi-agency care planning.
