The Community
Rehabilitation Service supports individuals in their recovery from mental
ill-health. The role of the Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant is to work across
the rehabilitation pathway, supporting in the occupational assessment of the
health, social and wellbeing needs of the individuals using the service, as
well as the delivery of appropriate interventions accordingly. The successful
candidate will be able to work both autonomously as well as part of a
multi - disciplinary team (MDT), attending reviews, MDT meetings and other meetings
whether clinical or not.

Main duties of the job
As a Rehabilitation Therapy
Assistant, you'll play a key part in helping individuals on their journey of recovery
from mental ill-health. This role is both varied and rewarding, offering the
chance to work directly with people across different stages of their
rehabilitation in both community and inpatient settings.
You'll carry out therapeutic interventions
under the guidance and supervision of an Occupational Therapist or Clinical
Lead and contribute meaningfully to multidisciplinary team discussions and
plans of care.
This is a hands-on role where
no two days are the same. One day you might be running a small group session
focusing on developing daily living skills or confidence-building activities.
Another day, you could be working one-on-one with someone who needs help
establishing a routine, building mobility, or accessing community resources.
You'll support people in ways that reflect their own goals and supporting them
with everyday activities.
