A rare opportunity has arisen
within the within Neurodiversity services. This post would be perfect for
someone with an interest in supporting service users with neurodiverse
conditions which are often found co-morbidly. You will work with the team,
providing needs-led clinical care and required to use skills of person-centred
collaborative working; supporting with assessment, and diagnosis; condition
management and treatment.
The Adult
Neurodiversty services working alongside CPG, are welcoming and friendly, share
a common interest and passion for neurodiversty. The team have a wide range of
skills and qualifications, based at Val Waterfront Centre.
Main duties of the job
You will draw
on your experience and knowledge to support clinicians completion of neurodiverse
diagnostic assessments, to enhance your clinical judgement in the assessment and
decision making process. You will work as part of a team to triage, screen,
diagnose and signpost people who may benefit more from alternative/ appropriate
services to meet their individual needs.
You will work
alongside clinicians, Assistant Psychologist and other members of the Adult
neurodiverse services to partake and deliver group work to clients on the
waiting list and support groups for clients receiving treatment and have a
diagnosis of a neurodiverse condition.
You will be
part of an MDT approach and support the triage and screening of referrals,
discussions relating to diagnostic assessments and treatment.

MAIN DUTIES /
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience
of working in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies.
- To participate
and support the assessment process such as information gathering and history
taking, with direct guidance, support and supervision from the Specialist nurse/
clinical practitioner

in the formulation and delivery of routine care plans involving the
psychological treatment and/or management of client problems, under the direct
supervision of a qualified professional.

in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups where possible.
- To form and
maintain relationships with Psychology colleagues, multidisciplinary staff
within CPG community services and Navigo's Mental Health services.

under the direct supervision of a qualified professional psychologist, in the

- A first class or upper second class honours degree in Psychology.
- Entitlement to Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society

- Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
