We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to
join one of our acute inpatient units. The successful candidate will manage a
unit which comprises nurse/senior nurse practitioners and nursing assistants.
This is an exciting time as Navigo's acute service is changing and developing
to ensure we continue to deliver outstanding service.
Main duties of the job
As the Clinical Lead you will lead a dynamic team
based within acute inpatient services working on one of the inpatient units.
You should display clear leadership skills and skills for managing patient
admissions and discharges and assessment of specialist clinical conditions over
and above the general patient assessment. You will work with and deal with
highly complex clinical and operational activities and you will be required to
make own decisions which may impact on service users and staff. You will offer
clinical and managerial supervision to staff, report and deal with serious
untoward incidences, keep relevant policies up to date or generate new ones
where applicable. You will be responsible for work planning and allocation of
staff on a duty basis to meet organisation/service requirements, you will
coordinate recruitment and retention, investigations, absence managing and
disciplinary procedures

external staff placements, co-ordinating and authorising annual leave, authorising

- Current qualification in health or social care to degree/diploma level. (RMN/RNMH, RNLD
- Additional post-registration qualification and evidence of study up to degree level.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership in a MDT setting.
Desirable
- Post qualification award in health/social care at degree or equivalent level.
- Clinical Supervision Training

- Masters level study
Experience

- Five years post-registration.
- Experience working with mental illness of a severe and enduring nature.
- Knowledge of relapse prevention.
