Job summary
This
is great opportunity to join our dedicated Business team within Navigo
Corporate Services on an 18 month fixed term or secondment basis. The role supports business units across
clinical and non-clinical service areas, liaising with service area leads to
drive service improvement, and provides efficient and effective support
services in respect of business development
There
is also the opportunity for a candidate to be recruited into this role as a developmental
opportunity on a Band 5 working alongside the existing Business Development
team to understand the processes and approaches to business support at Navigo,
and to work with the team to develop the skills necessary to become a
successful business development manager. Working across a full range of all age
service areas, projects and stakeholders, you will become familiar with all
aspects of the business development role working independently and as part of
the team. You will be increasingly expected to work independently.
Main duties of the job
The role will provide business development and project
management support throughout Navigo
This will include:
- Supporting colleagues across Navigo and NEL partners with
the development of ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery
- Supporting the development of business cases
- Developing delivery plans with key partners within services
- Playing a key role in the successful implementation of
service transformation
- Co-ordinating the engagement of key stakeholders, including
service users and carers to ensure proposals and co-produced
- Writing tenders with colleagues and seeking out grant
funding and tendering opportunities
- Providing high quality project management support
- Supporting the development and delivery of Navigo trading
arms
- Providing regular project updates across various forums
- Using complex spreadsheets and databases to record all
related activities

ongoing business of the organisation; delivery of business growth-based
projects; market research/scoping and service operationalisation..

organisation. This may include working closely with Navigo's Communications and
Marketing Team to undertake marketing, research, event promotion, awareness
raising and networking opportunities.
Providing periodic updates to the Membership Board and other
forums.
Work collaboratively with the Senior Corporate Affairs
Manager of Navigo to develop and nurture relationships with potential partners,
including within the third and corporate sectors.
Ensure service user, community membership and experts
by experience are actively engaged in all projects and service developments

- Proven track record of successful project support
- Knowledge of maintaining setting up administration and filing systems
- Knowledge of health and safety issues in a complex environment and the implications of poor compliance
Desirable
- Proven track record of successful tender production support
- Proven track record of achieving targets for generating income through commercial products and services
- Proven track record of success with attaining grants, tenders and awards
- Attained Health & Safety qualification to at least IOSH
