Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for
the recruitment of a Business Development Manager to provide an efficient and
effective support service in respect of business development and project
management. This support will include,
for example, devising and implementing systems to support the development and
ongoing business of the organisation; delivery of business growth
There is also the
opportutnity for right candidate to be recruited into this role as a developmental
opportunity on a Band 5 working alongside the existing Business Development
team to understand the processes and approaches to business support at Navigo,
and to work with the team to develop the skills necessary to become a
successful business development manager. Working across a full range of all age
service areas, projects and stakeholders, you will become familiar with all
aspects of the business development role working independently and as part of
the team. You will be increasingly expected to work independently
Main duties of the job
The role will
provide business development and project management support throughout Navigo
This will
include:
- Supporting
colleagues across Navigo and NEL partners with the development of
ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery
- Supporting
the development of business cases
- Develop
delivery plans with key partners within services
- Play a key
role in the successful implementation of service transformation
- Co-ordinate
the engagement of key stakeholders, including service users and carers to
ensure proposals and co-produced

Care Board, NELC, HCP, the Voluntary and Community sector, service users and
carers.
Undertake
Horizon Scanning on behalf of Navigo, ensuring details of potential
new/existing opportunities are clearly disseminated across the
organisation. Horizon scanning includes
marketing, research, publicising events, identifying awareness raising
opportunities and networking, working closely with Navigos Communications and
Marketing Team and the HCP.
Provide
periodic updates to the Membership Board and HCP regarding the Programme of
Work
To work
collaboratively with the Senior Corporate Affairs Manager of Navigo to develop
and nurture relationships with potential partners, including within the third
and corporate sectors.
Ensure
service user, community membership and experts by experience are actively
engaged in all projects and service developments

- At least 5 years experience of working within a large complex organisation.
- Proven track record of successful project management
- Proven track record of successful tender production
- Knowledge of maintaining setting up administration and filing systems
- Knowledge of health and safety issues in a complex environment and the implications of poor compliance
- Proven track record of achieving targets for generating income through commercial products and services
- Proven track record of success with attaining grants, tenders and awards
Desirable
- Attained Management Qualification to at least Level 4
- Has an evidence Portfolio
- Experience of working with local health & social care providers
- Experience of working with Mental Health Services

- Project Management Qualification or experience of providing project officer support to projects/programmes of work
- Management Qualification to Level 4 or above
- Evidence of a sound educational background including Maths and English
- RSA III Typing and Word Processing or skills to equivalent standard
