YMM is the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in North East Lincolnshire and we are looking to recruit a Band 5 CAMHS Practitioner to join our Core Team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, and gain experience in the different areas, working alongside an experienced, passionate and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard of specialist clinical care to children and young people, providing safe and effective evidence-based treatment within defined clinical pathways.
The post holder will provide assessments and interventions for children & young people presenting with a range of emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties, including those in vulnerable groups.
Interventions will be provided through group and individual therapy.
To provide support via liaison, consultation, and training to universal services, including schools, GPs, health and social care professionals. This includes the provision of a professional advice line.
Act as an autonomous practitioner making decisions about service user care as appropriate with the multi-disciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
To provide a high
standard of clinical care ensuring safe and effective assessment, treatment and
comprehensive discharge planning using highly developed clinical reasoning
skills and appropriate assessment tools.
Provide care delivery
to a range of vulnerable groups, inclusive of, but not exclusively:
Mild learning difficulties
Looked After Children
Survivors of abuse
Work collaboratively
and promote effective working relationships both with members of the
multi-disciplinary team and other agencies caring for and supporting children
and young people.
Empower service users
and their families/carers to influence and use available services, information
and skills and act as an advocate where appropriate.
Provide full
assessment and appropriate follow up care via care planning and clinical
pathways, individual and group interventions in partnership with young people/
families/carers and other workers involved in care delivery.
Provide therapeutic
interventions within relevant care pathways.
Work within defined
waiting times.
Provide an extended
hours service, as required.
Participate in
screening of referrals for appropriateness and onward signposting/referral as
appropriate.
Participate in the
planning, delivery, and evaluation of group interventions.
Provide support,
advice, consultation, and training to partnership agencies.
Work in accordance
with relevant childcare, health legislation and professional standards in
partnership with wider children's services and fully engage with safeguarding,
single assessment and other processes which requires working together with
other agencies.
Proactively involve
young people and families in service development including using service
questionnaires to obtain structured feedback.
Provide a
professional, non-stigmatising service to children and families.
Work closely with
other colleagues within the service to enable effective transitions to and from
other areas.
Ensure best practice
by incorporating NICE guidance and meeting healthcare standards.
Adhere to NAViGO
Policies in consideration of children in need and safeguarding issues and in
maintaining accurate and effective written records.
Use outcome measures
to evidence effectiveness of treatment provided.
Contribute to the
development of best practice within the Service.
Participate in
management and clinical supervision.
Actively participate
in the delivery of training opportunities for both staff and students.
To be able to travel
independently and work flexibly.
Manage caseload and
service delivery in accordance with and in order to contribute towards the
attainment of the Service productivity requirements, including waiting times.
Participate in all
clinical governance and audit developments including post registration
education, training and continuing professional development.
