ROLE SUMMARY:

The role of the Performance Analyst

As a Performance Analyst at Navigo, you will support on all matters relating to Information Analysis to inform service development and facilitate Navigo meeting its strategic and work plan objectives.

The role is exciting and varied on a regular basis. One week, you may be looking at processes to improve our dementia pathway, while another week, you may be concentrating on the non-attendance rate of one of our services to assess what works well and what doesn't.

Where quality improvement plans are in place, you will provide updated reports on the monitored outcome measures and collaborate with the quality team and service lead to evaluate whether the improvement plan has worked.

You will be heavily involved in analysing the data within our Integrated Performance Report, ensuring the report reflects practice accurately and identifying areas where data raises concerns to be shared with clinical staff through our Quality and Learning Network meetings.

As part of the job role, you will complete a Level 6 Data Science Apprenticeship. A Data Scientist Apprenticeship will develop the combination of skills and knowledge required to recognise different types of data and design, to implement and optimise appropriate methods of analysis.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Functions

Analytical

Create and run reports in Microsoft SQL server.

Deliver consistently high standards in data reliability and information analysis.

Provide in-depth analysis to build intelligence for quality improvement plans and workplan projects.

Investigates variances in performance within the Navigo Integrated Performance Report, highlighting these to the Senior Performance Analyst.

Triangulate analysis across a range of reports and datasets.

Manipulation large datasets and creating complex spread sheets and relational databases as well as analysing and resolving complex queries and discrepancies.

Analyses situations to identify and resolve problems relating to the Mental Health clinical system and the Incident and Accident Reporting System

Provides analytical support to Navigo by developing and delivering customised ad-hoc management reports/information packs encompassing data from the Mental Health service. This will include regular reporting to the various Navigo committees and other relevant groups, for example the Quality and Learning Networks

Interprets, presents and benchmarks national and local data for clinical leads to support the strategic function.

Works with the Senior Performance Analyst to develop and maintain effective information systems that meet the current and changing requirements of Navigo enabling robust monitoring of existing services and new initiatives to be carried out.

Provides complex and potentially sensitive ad-hoc information analysis to the Navigo Central Management Team and Mental Health Managers.

Ensures that all relevant data is received and input onto the information systems to enable Navigo reporting timetables to be met. This would involve manipulating large datasets and creating complex spread sheets and relational databases as well as analysing and resolving complex queries and discrepancies.

Maintains a detailed knowledge of NHS data definitions, standards and guidance on healthcare information to ensure that systems are implemented and maintained.

Supports with the preparation and quality assurance of routine internal and external information returns relevant to the postholders area of responsibility.
