Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to support the transformation of Children and Young People in North East Lincolnshire. Children and Young Peoples mental health is a priority area for the NEL Health and Care Partnership (HCP) and the 2021-24 plan has been refreshed for 2023-25. This role will work in partnership with colleagues from across NEL Health and Care Partnership HCP to support the delivery of the Children'sand Young Peoples Mental Health Transformation Programme including (but not limited to):

Neurodevelopment

Eating Disorders

Children Look After

Perinatal and Infant Mental Health

This role will be hosted on behalf of the HCP by NAViGO and be managed within the Business Development Team in NAViGO, with a close working relationship with the HCP Programme Directors, Integrated Care Board and NELC CYP and mental health leads

Main duties of the job

The role will provide business development and project management support to the Children and Young People's transformational programme. This will include:

- Supporting colleagues across NAViGO and NEL partners with the development of ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery for Children and Young People

- Supporting the development of business cases

- Develop delivery plans with key partners within services

- Play a key role in the successful implementation of service transformation

- Co-ordinate the engagement of key stakeholders, including service users and carers to ensure proposals and co-produced

Principal job duties / main tasks

Project Management primary role

Provide high quality project management support including undertaking a range of activities to support the delivery of NAViGOs work plan, working effectively with management and clinical colleagues across the organisation.

Support the development of service development proposals, business plans and delivery plans within NAViGO and as required, across NEL provider organisations

Support the operationalisation of successful service developments

Facilitate the development of individual service business plans

Facilitate the development of delivery plans to support the organisation high level objectives as detailed within the work plan.

Ensure project management process and documentation is adhered to for all projects / objectives.

Undertake presentations detailing proposed business changes and service developments

Engage with key stakeholders to ensure they are involved in and given the opportunity to inform developments

Producing and taking responsibility for project and programme management dashboards

Business Development

Supporting colleagues across NAViGO and NEL partners with the development of ideas/innovations aimed at improving service delivery for Children and Young People including supporting the preparation of business cases and supporting delivery plans. Investigate opportunities for development of such new business areas and assess associated risks of potential ventures.

Supporting transformational change across operational service areas, requiring engagement with wider stakeholders at a Place level including Childrens Social Care, health providers, education, Primary Care Networks, Local Authority, Integrated Care Board, NELC, HCP, the Voluntary and Community sector, Children Young People and Families, service users and carers.

Undertake Horizon Scanning on behalf of NAViGO, ensuring details of potential new/existing opportunities for Children and Young People are clearly disseminated across the organisation. Horizon scanning includes marketing, research, publicising events, identifying awareness raising opportunities and networking, working closely with NAViGOs Communications and Marketing Team and the HCP.

Provide periodic updates to the Membership Board and HCP regarding the Children and Young Peoples Programme of Work

To work collaboratively with the Head of Corporate Affairs of NAViGO to develop and nurture relationships with potential partners, including within the third and corporate sectors.

Ensure service user, community membership and experts by experience are actively engaged in all projects and service developments

General

  • Compile adhoc management reports to NAViGOs Membership Board, Strategic Management Team and HCP forums, including commentary on the current and forecast work plan position.
  • Design and use complex spreadsheets and databases that will record all related activities, e.g. income, expenditure, profit and loss, outputs etc in respect of grant funding and budget monitoring.
  • Initiate and produce to a high standard correspondence, minutes, reports, graphics, etc.
