Job summary
Since 2009 NHS Talking Therapies has provided the Talking Therapies service for North East Lincolnshire. The service provides low and high intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, couples psychotherapy, Counselling for Depression and Interpersonal Therapy amongst other modalities. The clinical team consists of High Intensity Therapists, Counsellors, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Interpersonal Therapists and Employment Advisors.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated individual who would like to train to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners are trained to deliver low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to people with mild to moderate mental health problems. The post initially involves studying for a postgraduate certificate within one year whilst also working as a trainee within the service. The team consists of experienced staff who have been specifically trained to provide supervision.
Main duties of the job
Interviews will be conducted by an NHSTT Team Manager, Senior PWP and a service user representative.
The 12-month course commences March 2024. Starting in service in February 2024 to allow integration into the core team. The training consists of 1 day university attendance and 4 days working with the service each week.
The closing date for this post is 8th January 2024. Interviews will take place at Navigo House, a week or so after the closing date.
NHS Talking Therapies provides a hybrid of both remote therapy and treatment in person, with clinicians working the majority of their time from the office, community areas such as GP's and an option to work from home, based on service need. This is not a fully remote post and the current work from office base vs remote working sits at 80%/20% to meet the needs of the local area.
