Job summary

Day Services promotes, supports and improves the mental, physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable people, in order that they can participate in their communities and with their families, and enjoy the best life possible. The aim of the service is to support vulnerable people to remain living in their own homes. An effective Day Service should aim to ensure that this group can participate in and help steer the services required, taking into account their specific needs. The service enables service users to make informed decisions and to facilitate access to services across the health, social and voluntary sectors.

Main duties of the job

Job title: Clerical Assistant

Department: Day Services

Base: Cromwell Road Resource Centre

Hours: 37.5

Rota pattern: The post holder will work Monday Fridays between 8am 4.30pm

Salary Range 2 £20,702 (under 23) - £21,190 (over 23) fixed salary point

You will provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the teams. Key elements of the post are to be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries from service users and professionals, taking messages and forwarding to the appropriate source. Work will generally be carried out under supervision and will be within well established procedures.

You will have Literacy and numeracy Level 2 qualifications, and a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in computer applications.
