Job summary

The Care Plus Groups Adult Neurodiversity (ND) Services based at Val Waterhouse Centre in Grimsby include various specialist community teams, including: a Learning Disability (LD) Psychological Therapy Service to support the mental health needs of learning disabled individuals; an Intensive Support Team to support individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern; a Community Learning Disability Team to support the physical health of learning disabled adults and Carers Support needs; an Adult Autism (no-LD) Service (AAS) and ADHD Service, which provides both diagnostic assessments and a full range of post-diagnostic support; and a Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS) to support autistic and/or learning disabled adults who are at risk of offending or who have an offending history to live safely within their local community.

Care Plus Groups Adult Neurodiversity Services work in collaboration and in partnership with other local health and social care providers, including Navigo and The Faraway CIC to deliver co-produced statutory, User-Led and Peer-to-Peer Support services to North East Lincolnshire and across the Humber Transforming Care Partnership (TCP) area Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire.

Main duties of the job

Job title: Accessible Information Officer

Department: Adult Neurodiversity Service

Base: Val Waterhouse Centre, Kent Street, Grimsby

Hours: 18.75

Salary: £23,360 - £25,784 Pro rata. You will be appointed on a fixed point within the range

You will be responsible for planning and implementing communication projects Adult Neurodiversity Services which include the Adult Learning Disability Service, Forensic Outreach Liaison Service, Adult Autism Service and Adult ADHD Service. You will be involved with researching, developing and producing information in a variety of accessible formats for people accessing Adult Neurodiversity Services to assist them in living informed and meaningful lives within the community. In addition you will also be responsible for liaising with other services and agencies to support them with communication and to promote a consistent approach across services with accessible information. You will also assist with marketing our services ie developing leaflets, posters, banners and maintaining the website.

You will have basic graphic design skills including the use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher and/or CANVA. You will need to have good IT skills and good video/camera editing skills. You will be able to translate complex information into accessible information appropriate for our client groups.
