Job summary

The Quality, Regulation and Improvement Team deliver a crucial HQ function for the organisation. The Team is responsible for ensuring that Care Plus Group has in place efficient and effective Governance arrangements that provide assurance to the Care Plus Group Board and wider stakeholders. The team work with leadership, managers and staff across the organisation to ensure adherence to a robust quality management framework in line with ISO 9001 Quality Management, PSIRF, incorporating several quality improvement measures including:

  • Incident, accident, complaints, non-conformance management including the management of Serious Incidents and compliments
  • Audit Programme: clinical/non-clinical and ISO 9001 process approach reviews and audit
  • Compliance with Regulatory Bodies i.e. Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Management of staff, volunteer, student, customer and service user feedback
  • Management of alerts, including CAS, NICE Guidance etc.
  • Continuous service improvement and development
  • Reporting: quality accounts, trend analysis, audit, feedback etc.
  • Project and programme management
  • Utilisation of Canva Infographics, InPhase Oversight and SystmOne

Main duties of the job

JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Assistant (Regulation and Incidents)

HOURS: 25 hours per week, Permanent (Monday-Friday)

GRADE & SALARY: Range 4 £23,360 pro rata per annum fixed salary point

You will work to the Deputy Manager to provide assistance with all aspects of regulation, alerts and support the incident process for the organisation. Supporting the organisation meeting its requirements for CQC regulation by the full management of notification processes and submission, ensuring that compliance is maintained at all times.

You will co-ordinate NICE Guidance compliance, CAS and Field Notice Alerts and provide ongoing monitoring through the Quality Improvement (QI) system modules and escalate to the Deputy Manager/Manager where necessary.

You will also monitor and track all actions especially overdue actions with service leads/Heads of Service.

To be a Quality Assurance Assistant, it is essential you have:

Proven experience in maintaining and manipulating information systems including but not limited to databases and excel spreadsheets

Evidence of a sound education background including Maths/English to GCSE standard or equivalent.

Level 3 IT qualification or equivalent experience that includes Excel

The ability to accurately manipulate data/data management and compile reports for varied audiences.

The ability to handle a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines.
