Job summary

The Data Quality Specialist role is based on a specific requirement to deliver analysis support and training in relation to data quality for GP practices across Northern Lincolnshire, the role fits within our existing Business Information Service remit. Care Plus Group are committed to supporting the delivery of High Quality Services for Service Users in the Humber and North Yorkshire Region.

Main duties of the job

Data Quality Specialist

Val Waterhouse Centre, Grimsby

30 hours per week Monday -Friday between the hours of 08:30 17:00

Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2025

Salary: £26,823 pro rata per annum fixed salary point (pay award at 4% pending)

Working closely with Practice Managers and other individuals to deliver and support delivery of data quality training, comprehensive data quality advice and guidance, clinical coding, and information management skills within identified PCNs. Identifying and inform of upcoming and impending changes to Primary Care contractual and procedural requirements.

You will work autonomously, prioritising tasks in accordance with agreed objectives and use your initiative and judgement in decision making.

You will be required to monitor national policies and guidelines, providing advice, support and training to colleagues for any impending changes in approach or procedure.

You will be interrogating clinical systems to identify problems, omissions and errors and providing feedback to sites/individuals to improve quality of recording and reporting. You would be expected to develop good working relationships with colleagues, both internal and external as you work closely to support development and learning of services, whilst demonstrating a sound level of inter-personal skills.

There would be an expectation of you to undertake travel throughout the county supporting GP practices.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Science or equivalent specialist experience in Information Management Systems, to demonstrate specialist/advanced level of practice

Desirable

  • Training Qualification (PTLLS Level 3/4), Level 3/4 Award in Education and Training (EAT) or equivalent
  • SQL certification or experience

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of working in a similar Data Quality and performance analysis environment
  • Expert user of MS Excel and Access (or similar) for statistical reporting.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of interrogation of industry specific database systems.
  • Experience of delivering training to audiences of differing abilities in group or 1 to 1 settings.

Desirable

  • Experience and knowledge of clinical systems e.g. SystmOne and EMIS

  • Ability to regularly commute efficiently around the contracts geographical coverage area using appropriate means of transport and be able to facilitate transport of equipment.
