Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Management Accounts, an important role in the Finance Team.
In this role you will provide an expert financial management service covering all aspects of budget setting, monitoring and forecasting with particular reference to Adult Services.
Working closely with the Finance Director and Deputy Director of finance you will also represent Sirona at CCG and system wide events and be an active member of working groups as part of a wider network.

Main duties of the job
About You
To succeed in this role you will:
Be a qualified accountant with substantial financial and management accounting experience in a medium sized and complex organisation.
Have a good understanding of the operational services provided by an organisation like Sirona and their impact on decision making across the company.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience of leading and engaging with finance and other corporate functions to develop a mature and rounded service.
Be a strong leader able to communicate well with your peers and teams members and have resilience to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands from internal and external stakeholders.

- Degree and Qualified accountant (CCAB) with significant post qualification experience
- Record of continuous professional development
Desirable
- Formal evidence of project management skills such as successful completion of a formal training course and experience gained on specific projects
Experience

- Extensive knowledge of commercial sector Accounting and financial procedures and the ability to present these so that they are understood.
- Specialist knowledge in Management Accounting at a senior level within a large organisation.
- Knowledge of NHS and Local Authority financial frameworks.
- Knowledge of multimillion pound projects.
- Advanced understanding of financial accounting systems and the interrelationships between the financial modules (e.g. debtors, creditors and chart of accounts)
- Advanced spread sheet skills e.g. linked spread sheets, pivot tables
