Job summary

The Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) team plans for a wide range of incidents and emergencies that could affect health or patient care both within Sirona and across the health and care system in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

These could be anything from extreme weather conditions to an outbreak of an infectious disease or a major transport accident. The Civil Contingencies Act 2004, the Health and Care Act 2022 and other legislation requires providers of NHS-funded care, to show that they can deal with such incidents while maintaining services.

To assist delivering on a significant workload, the EPRR team are looking for a professional, experienced administrator to support with delivery and coordination of EPRR activity across Sirona.

The role is primarily office based but may include travel across the operational area, so access to transportation is a requirement. Some home working may be accommodated on agreement with line manager.

This is an exciting time for the EPRR team with lots of change and a number of challenges so the team member who joins us will be motivated, self-aware and enthusiastic.

This is a fixed term posts for a period of 12 months.

Main duties of the job

Duties include all administrative functions required to support the EPRR team and Sironas EPRR governance structure.

This will include managing diaries, meetings and email boxes; attending and minuting meetings; actively maintaining action logs; overseeing Sironas on-call rota; information access control management; document management and EPRR training records management.

  • Educated to a NVQ3 level or equivalent.
  • Qualifications in English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent

Desirable

  • Level 4 Award in Health Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response
  • PRINCE2 certification
