Job summary

We have two exciting opportunities for a clinician with musculoskeletal experience to join our Musculoskeletal Interface Team in Sirona Care and Health.

We have a fixed term role (18.75 hours per week) and permanent role (30 hours per week) available.

The Sirona Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service is a well-established service with delivers assessment & treatment for people with musculoskeletal problems or orthopedic conditions in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). It includes First Contact Physiotherapists in several South Gloucestershire and Bristol primary care networks, physiotherapy, podiatry and the MSK interface service (MSKI).

We operate from 3 bases in South Gloucestershire, 11 sites in Bristol and 3 bases in North Somerset. Within their contracted hours an MSKI Physiotherapist maybe asked to deliver clinics, Monday to Friday 8am-8pm (excluding bank holidays).

Main duties of the job

The MSKI service is an adult orthopedic interface clinic, based in various locations between primary and secondary care whose goal is to provide patients with musculoskeletal conditions with a specialist assessment and management plan. These patients who would traditionally have been referred to secondary care are now managed in a community setting and receive an expert opinion on their condition. As a system provider the MSKI service provides specialist advice and guidance to primary care and other community services whist simultaneously working to support developments in the MSK pathway to improve efficiency and patient experience as part of the wider local healthcare system.

This variety of roles within the MSK services means you will be working with a variety of highly experienced (Band 7 and 8a) clinicians which will offer ongoing learning opportunities. As well as having a designated mentor who will help you set out your learning needs and development in line with service needs, you will be expected to attend and participate in regular supervision, case reviews and in service trainings.
