Job summary

Tired of working nights? Enjoy flexible working options between 8am - 8pm at our place-based care units. We're recruiting Urgent Care Practitioners at our Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in South Bristol and Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) in Yate (South Glos.).

So, what's the difference between our UTC and MIU? Both cater to all ages, but our UTC treats minor injuries AND illnesses, while MIU focuses on minor injuries only.

When and where?

o Thursday 20 June - Yate Minor Injuries Unito Thursday 27 June - South Bristol Urgent Treatment Centre

Main duties of the job

o Autonomously triage, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages

o Perform treatments such as suturing, plastering, x-ray interpretation, non-medical prescribing and shift management

o Refer patients to specialist clinics and emergency departments as needed.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Professional registration with NMC or HCPC
  • Appropriate higher education qualification for registration with governing body
  • Post graduate qualification - Emergency /Urgent Care Practitioner (or similar)

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of autonomous practice within an urgent or emergency healthcare environment
  • IRMER and ability to interpret x-ray films

Desirable

  • Experience or qualification relevant to delivering remote clinical consultations
