Job summary

Are you looking to gain knowledge and experience of the core areas of physiotherapy through a community rotation? We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Band 5 physiotherapists who will deliver a high quality service and thrive on the opportunities this post offers. Community health care is changing. Sirona care & health are moving to an innovative integrated network model with emphasis on admission prevention, rapid management and long term self-management, enabling patients to live better lives in their own environment.

We have fantastic locality based rotations in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire which include: musculoskeletal outpatients, learning disabilities, neurology, respiratory, and community. Details on which locality you will be working in will be discussed at interview. You will be working in a variety of settings (e.g. patients homes, outpatient clinics, Community Rehab Beds) alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide patient-centred, effective, and evidence-based physiotherapy assessment and management in a variety of settings. We have 3 rotations within Sirona care & health, with rotational members of staff based in either Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire. The locality which the rotation will be based in will be discussed further at interview.

Our rotational posts are designed to consolidate and build on graduate skills within the core areas of physiotherapy, providing Band 5s with a broad practical education and experience of managing a range of acute and long-terms conditions. Sirona also supports new graduates through the preceptorship scheme which further facilitates the development of a strong set of transferrable skills.

Rotations are 6 months long and each service has an excellent induction, supervision and training framework which you will be engaged in immediately. There is also the opportunity to support student placements as you develop your knowledge and skills. This highly supportive culture enables junior clinicians to develop into effective, autonomous clinicians with a broad range of transferable skills. The rotations provide a platform and real opportunity for internal advancement.

Please note - you must be fully registered to apply for this post and we will not accept applications from students on this occasion
