Job summary

The Musculoskeletal (MSK) & Podiatry Service sits within the Specialist Advice and Support Services (SASS) division of Sirona care & health.

As a group of Specialist Services, we work closely with other health providers such as Primary Care, Acute Hospitals, and other services within Sirona such as the Integrated Network Teams (INTs). The Specialist Services work as role models and an expert resource to ensure that health care professionals within and outside the organisation have access to the right knowledge, skills, and resources so that evidence-based care is embedded as a fundamental principle across all pathways.

We are currently recruiting for several Administration Support Officers to join our services based at:

  • Hampton House

These are full-time positions and you must be able to work 8-4/9-5, Monday-Friday.

Main duties of the job

You will form part of the team providing a full administrative service to the Sirona MSK & Podiatry pathways.

Your role will be predominantly supporting the patient pathway and working closely with other members of the administration and clinical teams to optimise patient experience. You will support optimisation of clinical diaries through following the administrative standard operating procedures. This will include:

  • Answering calls
  • Responding to patient queries
  • Booking appointments
  • Sending out appropriate patient communication
  • Registering referrals.

You will be required to work in our electronic notes system (EMIS) and your role will involve adding appropriate documentation to patient records.

Depending on service need, you may also cover reception duties which will include meeting and greeting patients and visitors.

Other responsibilities may include ordering stationery and supplies, being a fire warden, and making room bookings.

  • Provides a professional and courteous service to a range of customers, which may include contact with patients/clients, carers, families, health professionals and other organisations face to face and over the telephone.
  • Answers telephone calls, ensures messages are taken clearly and concisely and passed to the relevant member of the team.
  • Responsible for sorting, date stamping, scanning and distributing mail on a daily basis.
  • Provides a comprehensive Administration service to the team, inputting data to systems, photocopying, typing notes, filing etc
  • Maintains awareness of developments/priorities at work.
