The Public Health Nursing
service of Sirona care & health CIC is excited to be able to offer an
opportunity to join our Clinical Leads team within the Inner City and East
locality of Bristol. The locality offers an exciting place to work with a vibrant
and diverse population of both well established and newly arrived communities within
the lively, historic, and cultural city of Bristol.
We are a forward
thinking, innovative service currently embarking on a journey of transformation,
which will see us embed the iTHRIVE model and principles into our work with
Children, Young People, Families and Communities across the Bristol, North
Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas (BNSSG). This implementation of iTHRIVE
within the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme offer will ensure we support
and empower children, young people, families, and communities to make decisions
that will positively affect their future health and well-being.
If you are a Specialist
Community Public Health Nurse with a passion for leading teams in the delivery
of a place based and needs led services, then this role could be for you.
We are keen to develop
and support Clinical Leads working within our service in providing leadership,
supervision and compassion within the Health Visiting service.
Main duties of the job
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
Compassionate Clinical
Leadership to defined Health Visiting teams within the Inner City and East
locality of Bristol.
Collaborative working
with Locality Leads, Public Health Nursing teams, Safeguarding teams, wider
Sirona care & health teams, Childrens Centres, Primary Care Teams (GPs)
etc.
Line management of skill
mixed Public Health Nursing teams, working with the Locality Lead to ensure
delivery of the Health Visiting service.
Support and contribute to
the design of pathways, audits, standard operating procedures, and policies to
ensure the service delivery is meeting the needs of children, young people,
families and communities.
Provide supervision,
management 1:1s and professional development reviews to those you line manage
with a view to supporting them in achieving their potential and being their
best selves.
Review of caseload
working and ensuring this aligns with service objectives and contractual
requirements.
Supporting the rollout of
the iTHRIVE approach within the service which will complement
the Healthy Child Programme and safeguarding work of practitioners.
Supporting the
implementation and sustainability of the MECSH programme (Maternal Early
Childhood Sustained Home-Visiting) within the BNSSG area.

- Post graduate diploma level qualification, training or demonstratable experience in Public Health Nursing
- NMC registered

- Demonstrable evidence of use of advanced communication skills applied within complex situations to support staff or own clinical practice.
- Demonstrable evidence of ability to problem solve at an advanced level.
- Ability to stimulate innovation and creative thinking within service improvement taking into consideration relevant business implications.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults policies and procedures.
- Excellent levels of IT literacy including skills required for audit, reporting and presentation.
