Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our well established FCP
team. We are looking for experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic
musculoskeletal Physiotherapists to work as FCPs across Primary Care and the
community MSK service, working in practices in the east Surrey and West Sussex
areas.
These posts are an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to become a
Clinical Specialist working in Primary Care and who enjoys working with a range
of Health Care Professionals
Main duties of the job
As a First Contact Physiotherapist you will be working in local GP
practices assessing patients with musculoskeletal conditions, providing
specialist advice and triage. You will work closely with Practice staff and receive
appropriate training and support, in line with the FCP Roadmap to practice. There will be the opportunity to maintain a
clinical caseload within the First Community Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
service and you will work closely with our physiotherapists, as well as our
team of Advanced Practitioners.
The successful applicants will be Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists
working at clinical level 7, who are experienced in assessing patients who
present with complex musculoskeletal conditions. They will be team players and have excellent
clinical reasoning skills. They will be effective communicators who have good problem-solving
skills, as well as experience of service development and audit. They should have evidence of relevant
post-graduate training, ideally having completed Stage 1 of the Roadmap to Practice.
Stage 2 of the Roadmap is fully supported by accredited FCPs and an
experienced group of Advanced Practice Physiotherapists who work within the MSK
service.
Continued professional and personal development is strongly encouraged
and the post holders will be part of an active in-service training
programme.
