Job summary

Does working evening shifts suit your work-life balance? Are you wanting to make a difference to patients whilst developing your career providing NHS care to patients in their own homes? If so, an opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work 3 or 4 evening shifts (18.00-23.00) a week, within the District Nursing Service.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you are able to drive, have a car suitable for business purposes, and hold a clean driving licence.

Main duties of the job

You will provide nursing care for a wide range of conditions to people in their own home and residential settings.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised care for patients under the direction of a Clinical Team Lead.

You will work in close collaboration with health and social care professionals within the Neighbourhoods to prevent your patients being admitted to hospital.

You will provide advice and support to junior staff and students in the delivery of effective, high-quality care.

You will need to work independently within a team structure, and will possess excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, and demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
