An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced First Contact Practitioner
to join our team in the Caterham Minor Injuries Unit. The Unit is open 8am
8pm; 7 days per week; 365 days per year.
Situated
at Caterham Dene Community Hospital the Minor Injury Unit is a practitioner-led
unit, providing a service for adults and children that require treatment of
minor injuries and minor medical conditions.
We
are looking for a dynamic practitioner who is enthusiastic about providing high
quality care. You will work as part of a team of experienced practitioners and
be supported by a practice development practitioner who will support your
professional development.

Main duties of the job
You need to be able to work autonomously taking a full history and examination, requesting investigations, interpreting the results, diagnosing and planning treatment and discharging patients attending with undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor injuries. This should include an understanding of when to refer to other specialities and the acute hospital.

- HCPC Registration
- Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent post graduate courses relevant to the clinical field.
- Stage 1 Roadmap to Practice completed
