Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the IT Projects Team as a Junior Technical Support Officer.

The role will be reporting to the Head of IT. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate asset registers, providing support for IT assets, and supporting the team with the delivery of IT related projects. This includes liaising with users and third-party providers to provide a service that meets user needs and ensures that technology is correctly used within First Community Health and Care.

The post holder will be expected to commit to our vision rejuvenating the wellbeing of our community. They will also be committed to First Community Health and Cares mission which is to provide first class, patient-centred care and prevention services locally delivered in partnership with our community.

Main duties of the job

To support the Head of IT and IT Team with staff training as required.

To liaise with suppliers for the purchase and delivery of new equipment as directed by the Head of IT.

To self-manage workload of Tickets assigned on SharePoint Tickets, keep records accurate, escalate as required and take part in regular reviews of work.

To provide office administration and clerical support to the Head of IT and IT Team as required.

Oversee the work of the Krome onsite engineer to assist with the prep of equipment - with support from Tech Support Lead and Head of IT.

To be responsible for the maintenance of accurate records of all IT equipment and peripherals (Asset Register). Adding new device details when deployed to staff.

Updating devices with current details

Removing old devices and updating leavers devices.

Confirming leavers equipment is returned.

To be responsible for managing the IT stock cupboards.

Keep IT stock in the cupboards tidy with a regular audit cycle.

Sorting cables etc into sections and knowing where things are.

Putting away returned equipment from staff leavers/Deliveries.

Raising awareness of product/stock orders required.

Disposing of packing materials correctly.

Removing damaged or broken equipment from circulation.
