An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency Practitioner to
join our team in the Caterham Minor Injuries Unit. The Unit is open 8am 8pm;
7 days per week; 365 days per year.
Situated
at Caterham Dene Community Hospital the Minor Injury Unit is a practitioner-led
unit, providing a service for adults and children that require treatment of
minor injuries and minor medical conditions.
Main duties of the job
The
practitioner needs to autonomously take a full history and examination, request
investigations, interpret the results, diagnose, and plan treatment then discharge
patients attending with undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor injuries and minor
illnesses.
The

Caterham and surrounding rural population and any other person who suffers a
minor injury or minor medical condition and requires attention.

Emergency Nurse Practitioners. Responsible for the management of the Unit in
the absence of the Lead ENP

responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of high standards of nursing care
and effective development of high quality evidence-based innovative practice.
