We are in search of a new Band
7 Physiotherapist to provide leadership and clinical expertise within our
friendly Multidisciplinary team based at Caterham Dene Hospital in east Surrey.

Main duties of the job
You will provide
professional leadership for designated Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation/Therapy
Assistants and Associate Practitioners and will have a role in the leadership
and line management of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will assess for and deliver
a range of Physiotherapy treatment options for a variety of patients who may
have complex, long-term conditions.
You will be able to use
your generic skills to clinically monitor the patient and promote holistic
recovery and discharge planning including appropriate referrals to other
services.
You will
participate in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement activities, including action
planning and audit, as this is also integral to this role.
We will encourage and
support you to complete regular training and help you to further develop your
leadership, generic and Physiotherapy professional skills including having
student practice placements.
A car will be required for this role.

Hospital, working on the ward to prevent unnecessary Hospital admissions and
facilitate timely hospital discharges for patients. Caterham Dene Hospital ward
is an inpatient rehabilitation ward, 365 days a year, and the therapy team
provides a seven day a week rehabilitation service
As a Senior Physiotherapist, the post holder
will manage and provide professional leadership for designated Physiotherapy
staff, Associate Practitioners and Rehabilitation Assistants, taking on
responsibility for the day to day management of the team and deputising for the
service lead as necessary.
The Senior
Physiotherapist is responsible for providing a comprehensive and co-ordinated
range of specialist Physiotherapy therapeutic and preventative services which
maintain or improve peoples health, independence and quality of life, by
providing high quality, efficient and responsive assessment and Physiotherapy
input.
The Post Holder
will need to have a car for personal business use and be able and prepared to
drive between community settings during their working day. The post holder will
participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota.
