Job summary
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to work within the Patient Safety and Quality Team as the Subject Access Request Co-Ordinator.
The post holder assures all Subject Access Requests (SARs) under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA18) are dealt with appropriately and within designated timescales.
This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work at home and in the office 14 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate and respond to Subject Access requests (SARs) within timescales.
To deal with all enquiries and concerns relating to SARS raised.
To liaise with teams/departments in order to process SAR requests.
Preparing appropriate and well written correspondence.
Be able to constantly re-prioritise with fluctuating volumes of work and be resilient in difficult and/or sensitive situations involving conflict, bereavement and challenge.
Communicate, advise and guide on SARs matters with senior management and clinical staff.
Liaise with external organisations as required.
Excellent interpersonal communication and diplomacy skills.
Frequent communication with a wide range of staff and external contacts, both verbal, written and presentations as required. Groups of people to include:
Internal:
Clinical staff, non-clinical staff, managers and members of the board.
External:
Patients, Information Commissioners Office, police, solicitors, coroners, contractors and GP practices.
