Job summary

Caterham Dene Community Hospital is a 28 bedded ward providing care, physical rehabilitation and discharge planning for mainly frail older adults following an episode of acute illness or injury.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate registered nurse to join our friendly, dynamic, and caring multidisciplinary team. As a staff nurse you will play a vital role in ensuring that our client group receive the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care.

Whether you are an experienced Registered Nurse, newly or recently qualified Registered Nurse, we can support you in this very rewarding role.

We also offer a welcome benefit of £2000 to new employees, preceptorship, a comprehensive induction programme, support with revalidation, clinical supervision, a learning programme to support your continuing professional development.

This role is suitable for both experienced and newly registered nurses. We have a supportive Preceptorship Programme for new nursing registrants.

Main duties of the job

You will be providing evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring physical rehabilitation to help them to regain their independence following an acute illness, sub-acute illness, or surgery.

You will be customer focused, caring and compassionate and provide a high standard of nursing care and collaborative team work to promote independence and discharge planning. Working in partnership with the patient, their family and/or carers to support this process.

You will support quality and safety by practicing according to professional standards, taking responsibility for delegating to others and be a role model for junior members of staff and student nurses.
