Job summary

Join an organisation where you are at the centre. First Community Health & Care Community Interest Company (C.I.C) became a not-for-profit social enterprise on 1st October 2011. We currently provide community health services in East Surrey and parts of West Sussex, and being a C.I.C means we reinvest any surpluses we make back into the community.

First Community Health & Care is co-owned by its employees, who have a vision for being the best provider of local community health and care services, respected and trusted by patients, professionals and employees. Each employed member has the option of a share in the organisation, giving them rights under the Companies Act 2006, and a chance to innovate services to make a difference for the patients we serve.

We want to be first for excellence in care, first for the community and the first choice employer for you.

We are committed to training and professional development. We also offer a flexible retirement pension scheme with The Pensions Trust and salary sacrifice schemes, including cars.

First Community Health and Care are pleased to be able to offer our all of our staff access to the NHS Pension Scheme.

Main duties of the job

Are you looking to develop your skills in an outstanding team?

First Dietitians are looking for a confident and independent dietitian to join our friendly team and to work within the Sussex Community Foundation Trust Neuro Rehab team based at Horsham hospital. There will be some opportunity to work remotely, from home, if desired.

You will be part of a friendly, experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team at Horsham hospital, that encourages joint working and learning from each other. There is fantastic administration, support and good links and communication with the wider neurology network including consultants, specialist nurses and practitioners as well as respiratory and palliative care teams. The role covers Horley, Crawley, East Grinstead, Horsham and mid-Sussex providing opportunities to liaise with the acute teams and other dietetic services in these areas, to deliver a co-ordinated service.

Your caseload will include a variety of neuro conditions and you will use your dietetic skills and knowledge to assess, plan and implement treatment, delivering dietetic interventions remotely and in patients own homes. You will have access to a wide range of anthropometry equipment and support from the Sussex Community rehab team techs and rehab assistants.

Please note that this is currently full-time, however, we would invite applicants to apply or contact us as it may be possible to accommodate a job share.
