First Community Health and Care

Administrator/Receptionist

The closing date is 04 March 2026

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy Therapies admin team. You should be able to use your own initiative, enjoy dealing with the public and working under pressure as part of a friendly team.

This post will be based at our new Community Health Hub at Consort House in Redhill. To maintain competency our staff work across all FCHC locations where we provide therapy services at times such as Caterham Dene Hospital.

This is a full time position, although part time hours would be considered, you will need to be able to work a minimum of 22.5 hours per week (0.6 WTE).

Clinics run between 08:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday so working pattern will need to accommodate this alongside current staff.

Main duties of the job

Duties are varied and include booking appointments, dealing with telephone queries from patients and GPs, inputting and retrieval of data from a computerised booking system, as well as general office duties for the physiotherapy, podiatry, orthotics and corporate teams.

Excellent customer service skills are essential as this is a patient facing role and secretarial skills are an advantage.

Staff need to be on site for this patient facing role but there is the potential for hybrid working, dependant on service need. Hybrid working arrangements would be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant based on WTE hours.
