INTERNAL - Senior Clinical Audiologist

Job summary

The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, small, hard working team.

We currently have seven permanent Audiologists, both part time and full time and two assistant Audiological practitioners who are supported by two fully time and one part time Admin Assistants and an Admin Support Manager.

We provide routine and complex care to adults and fit the latest NHS hearing aid technology.

We are an adaptable team, with the opportunity to work from home a couple of times a month, as well as supporting flexible working where ever possible.

Main duties of the job

The department has a wide range of responsibilities, serving two ICBs AQP and NON AQP activity as well as the Acute Trust, with the bulk of the patients seen for community audiology care.

The Team provide audiology support for the local ENT team, as well as including a full hearing aid service for adults.

The team also provide a tinnitus support service and a full domiciliary service.

We are based at Crawley Hospital, with satellite clinics at East Surrey Hospital, Horsham Hospital, Wayside Surgery (Horley) and Caterham Dene Hospital.

The post is to work across all sites, in both hearing aid clinics and ENT support clinics.

The post will also involve contributing to the development of dedicated pathway for severe to profound hearing loss.

The audiology service works hard within the community to sign post for health difficulties, as well as health prevention for our community. The team work closely with local dementia support services and provide outreach screening clinics for the more vulnerable communities.

This is a full time post, but part time applicants would be considered.
