Job summary

If you are an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Care Practitioner look no further.

You must be an autonomous practitioner with the skills to take a full history and examination, request investigations, interpret the results, diagnose, and plan treatment then discharge patients attending with undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor injuries and minor illnesses.

This role is part time for 23 hours per week.

The Unit is open 8am 8pm; 7 days per week; 365 days per year and there is free parking on site.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered First Level Nurse / Paramedic
  • Current NMC or HCPC Registration
  • Emergency nurse practitioner qualification or Paramedic Practitioner qualification
  • ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Demonstrates clear evidence of on-going professional development

Desirable

  • Non-medical Prescriber
  • Evidence of level 7 training related to urgent care
  • Foundation Management course

Experience

Essential

  • Worked in ED or UTC or MIU as a ENP or ECP autonomously.
  • Has previously worked in triage or streaming

  • Line management experience
  • Experience of developing services
