Job summary

Children and Family Health Surrey is made up of three partnering organisations; First Community Health and Care (FCHC), CSH Surrey and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SABP).

Together, we provide one Surrey-wide community health service for children and young people from 0 to 19 years of age and their families and carers.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. Job share and part time hours would be considered for suitable candidate/s.

Main duties of the job

First Community Health and Care is looking for a motivated individual to join our team of Paediatric Therapy clerical officers.

The clerical staff are led by the admin lead and support a team of Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists, Paediatric Occupational Therapists and Paediatric Physiotherapists who all work in the community. The role is based at Orchard House in Salfords, covering administrative and receptionist duties for the therapy admin team.

You will need to work independently, as well as part of a team. You will need to work well under pressure and be adaptable to the changing demands of the service. Previous experience in NHS, or with children with additional needs or reception/admin roles and the use of our electronic patient record system EMIS is desirable.

Duties include booking appointments, generating letters to parents and other professionals, scanning and uploading of documents, monitoring shared inboxes and forwarding messages to the appropriate person, in a timely manner.

You will need to be computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, Work, Excel and Outlook and possess accurate data entry skills. You will need to have excellent communication and customer relations skills and be able to work in an open plan office or reception area without being distracted.
