Job summary

Band 5 School Nurse Special School Nursing Service, Surrey. (Brooklands School Reigate Surrey).

Are you a qualified children's, Learning disability or adult nurse looking for an exciting role to support the special school nursing team based in Brooklands School in Reigate Surrey for pupils aged 2-11years who have severe learning disabillity with additional health needs?

Our Nursing Service works with education staff so they are supported to enable the children and young people to safely attend school irrespective of their additional health needs. We ask that the ideal candidate has experience of working with children with special needs and has a passion for working with children to help them develop and grow.

Hours: 30 hours per week Pro Rata Mon- Fri , term time only

Start date: As soon as possible

Main duties of the job

Responding to medical emergencies

Training educational staff in nursing procedures including gastrostomy, ventilation

Medication management

Attending multi agency meetings

Care planning

Nurse led clinics
