Job summary

You will work from various venues e.g. clinics, schools (including special schools), nurseries and the child's home within SE Surrey.
This is a challenging and varied role. Day to day you will be conducting assessments, writing reports (Initial, Review and EHCP assessments) and running therapy sessions (groups or individual).
This post will offer the successful candidates the opportunity to work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists and assistants in providing a high quality occupation based provision to children aged 0-19 years, who have a variety of conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and learning difficulties
Applicants will need to be able to travel between sites across South East Surrey.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of the Paediatric Therapy team and will autonomously manage a complex caseload of children with a range of varied and complex needs. This will involve specialist assessment and treatment of children with complex needs.
As part of your role you will be involved in:
- Supporting and line-managing less experienced members of the team
- Organising and co-ordinating a small team within your local area
- Conducting Multi-disciplinary assessments
- Delivering training to parents, other professionals, schools or Nurseries
- Devise child centred therapy plans using evidence based practice to ensure that the individuals full potential is developed or maintained
- Supporting the OT Advice Line
- Working with specialist caseloads (aged 0-19) such as children with complex neuro-disability and neurodevelopmental difficulties impacting on day to day functional occupations.
