- Hours: 30hrs per week Pro Rata4 week days,term time only
- 08:30 -16:30
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join our dedicated and
highly motivated team of Special School Nurses/Assistant Practitioners who work
within the 8 severe learning disability schools across Surrey. This post is
based at Walton Leigh school Surrey for pupils aged 11- 19 years who have
severe learning disability with additional health needs.
Main duties of the job
We ask for a Children's, Adult or Learning disability Nurse with a minimum of 3 years post registration clinical experience working with children young people with additional health needs.
Your role will focus on ensuring the pupils with additional health needs have access to the school day regardless of the complexity of their health needs to maximize opportunities available in this setting.
You will lead a small nursing team, managing the day to day nursing care and support to the children their families and education staff who support. There is also partnership agency working and some outreach to other local LD schools to achieve better health outcomes for children and young people.

- Overseeing range of nursing assessments.
- Overseeing Care planning.
