The North West
Surrey Community Rehabilitation team is looking for pro-active, highly motivated, Neuro Physiotherapists to join them in providing personalised, holistic, goal-based interventions to the patients of NW Surrey.
Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants, providing Neurological symptom management and rehabilitation programmes to patients in their own homes, in an outpatient clinic and other community settings across NW Surrey.
You will be liaising regularly and working collaboratively with other members of the neuro pathway e.g. Specialist Practitioners, Specialist Nurses, Consultants, local authorities and the voluntary sector.
This post offers good opportunities to develop experience and skills as it includes a varied and complex caseload. There is regular clinical supervision and support from physiotherapy clinical team leaders, as well as participation in the in-service training programme. .
The post also offers many opportunities to contribute to supervision of students, service developments and audits.

- Relevant post graduate training and evidence of continuing professional development
- Maintained CPD portfolio

- Current driving license and use of car for work
Experience

- 2-3 years of post-registration experience working in NHS hospitals and services
- Work experience and knowledge in areas including rehabilitation, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson Disease, Older people rehabilitation and other neurological conditions
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team at a local and wider level
- Experience of managing own clinical caseload and prioritizing.
- Experience of working with assistants and able to delegate appropriately.
- Knowledge of relevant clinical outcome measures, assessment and intervention protocols relevant to the specialty and caseload (Neurology and rehabilitation) and in keeping with guidelines and evidenced based practice.
