Bank Band 2 Healthcare Assistant
This role is not eligible for to be sponsored for a Skilled
Worker Visa.
We are looking to recruit Bank Health Care Assistants, Band 2, to work as part of motivated and supportive multi-disciplinary teams based in either Woking or Walton Community Hospitals.
The focus of the team, which includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Care and Doctors, is rehabilitation and sub-acute care.
So as a Health Care Assistant you will play a key role in delivering high quality rehabilitation care, ensuring we are promoting our patients’ independence at every opportunity, whether dressing, walking or eating, so they achieve as much independence as they can before they leave our care.
Working as a community rehabilitation and sub-acute ward, you will have time to build relationships with patients and their families, involving them in planning safe and effective care and discharge plans.
Various hours/shifts are available either 07.15-15.15, 13.00-21.00, 20.30-07.45 or long days 07.15-21.00 at either Walton or Woking Community Hospitals.

Clinical:
1.
To support and assist
the senior team member in the provision of a high standard
of care and the promotion of
physical, mental and emotional health to individuals and patient groups.
2.
To be an effective member of the Multidisciplinary Team carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care in the
support of the senior team member
3.
Undertake clinical
interventions as delegated by a senior
team member
Health Promotion
1.
Participate in the assessment process of care needs and implementation of programmes of holistic care within set
standards
2.
To be involved in supporting, educating
and informing family/carers where appropriate
3. Assist in the promotion of health and well-being of patients
Administration and Clerical
Duties:
1.
Maintain clear and comprehensive, signed and contemporaneous records according to CSH Surrey procedures
2.
Take and record telephone messages, respond and liaise appropriately
3.
Manage stationery and documentation supplies
4.
To be responsible for maintaining data entry and other record
keeping e.g. recording
mileage and annual leave on staff databases
Team Working:
1.
Work as part of the team participating in procedures and duties in accordance
with agreed standards relevant to role
2. Assist with clerical
and administrative duties
as required
3.
Maintain regular contact with the senior
team member and communicate all relevant issues
General:

Work in partnership with patients ensuring
privacy and dignity
is maintained
2. Maintain close liaison
with the senior
team member who is responsible for the workload

Work in co-operation with all other professionals and agencies involved
