Job summary

The newly created role of Director of Clinical Partnerships will enable the successful candidate to make a significant and long-lasting impact working within an established charity, that provides a range of training opportunities to people with lifelong conditions, with the objective of 'improving patient care'.

Celebrating 30 years of operations as a registered charity this year, Education for Health are looking for an individual with passion, clinical expertise and the ability to develop income opportunities to join the organisation, in its next phase of growth.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join a newly formed executive team with a focus on leading the clinical element of the organisation, and developing the commercial opportunities based on changes to the medical advancements that impact lifelong conditions.

You will manage both the income generation and the clinical teams whilst reporting directly to the chief executive officer and working with a board of experienced directors.

As a lean thinking organisation, we strive to ensure that our processes avoid any duplication and remove any tasks that don't provide value to our customers. We have streamlined our reporting function thus ensuring that all the front-line staff, managers and directors can focus on delivery.

About us

The Education for Health team is currently based in Wellesbourne in Warwickshire, and blend working from home with two days in the newly refurbished, modern office space.

We have a team of extremely committed staff with significant experience which ensures we can be the market leader in our field.

As a charity and social enterprise, we not only focus on delivering on our charitable objectives but also the triple bottom line, that includes social, environmental, and economic outcomes. We are launching our social impact reporting, and this will be a critical element of shaping how we operate in the future.

The executive team are consistently looking to improve the offer for both staff and customers, and this new role will continue with that development.

Job Overview

To support the Chief Executive in developing a customer-centric organisation, and leading clinical development and commercial performance across the portfolio reflecting evidence-based practice within the clinical and healthcare market. The Director of Clinical Partnerships is responsible for leading the sales and clinical development strategies across the portfolio of the organisations products, including liaison with the Learning Design and Quality directorate. They are responsible for creating strong partnerships with external organisations covering private, public and the 3rd sector and ensuring their clinical knowledge and expertise is shared at both a strategic level with the board and executive directors and an operational level with other staff members and our team of associates. This requires an excellent understanding of various long-term conditions, and developments within the clinical and healthcare sector to ensure EfH remains at the leading edge of health initiatives. This is a new role and there will be considerable opportunities to develop and evolve the position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial

  • Provides clinical leadership to the development and delivery of an effective sales and marketing strategy and an annual tactical plan to secure income targets

  • Builds and maintains a thorough understanding of market size and target opportunities, ensuring products align with current and future customer needs

  • Leads the development of a customer pipeline that secures the organisations strategic ambitions

  • Leads the Income Generation team to grow our customer base through partnerships to attract new customers and repeat business

  • Collaborates with partners to innovate and optimise the uptake of learning and development in healthcare in line with the organisations strategy

  • Leads a team of clinical experts to ensure course content reflects current evidence base and further supports the development of our portfolio, using our Clinical Practice Advisory Group and other stakeholder networks
