Job summary

An exciting opportunity to work within the third sector alongside NHS organisations, supporting the ongoing development of Maternity Services in Birmingham and Solihull.

As Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership Coordinator, you will work with service users and professionals to shape and coproduce services, engaging with a range of people across the area, supporting Service User Representatives around engagement, social media, reporting and running meetings.

You will work closely with the Gateway Service Lead and Coordinator for the Black Country area to shape services. Travel across Birmingham and Solihull is required.

Main duties of the job

Recruitment of MNVP Members and Volunteers

Working closely with Maternity staff, community groups, service users and others to co-produce services and feedback on experiences

Promote the MNVP through social media and other channelsReporting to various audiences and attendance at a range of meetings including Trust and community based meetings

Job Purpose

A Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is a NHS working group: a team of parents and their families, commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors) working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care.

The key purpose of the role will be to provide Coordinator Support to MNVP Leads/Service user reps as well as any associated Leads or Service Users across designated MNVP area/areas.

The Coordinator will provide support and guidance to a team of MNVP Leads who work across Birmingham and Solihull, engaging with service users, community partners and LMNS staff. Areas of responsibility include practical organisation for the service including booking meetings, payment and finance administration linked to Lead and Service User duties and events and meetings; administrative support for Leads and Service Users; information gathering and data analysis to support Leads and the MNVP as a whole to ensure diverse and widespread engagement. The Coordinator will also support with promotion of the MNVP including through the use of Social Media channels and promotional events and reporting to key stakeholders.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery Coordinator

To support the Gateway MNVP Service Lead and MNVP area Leads in ensuring the demands of the MNVP are managed and outcomes are met.

Lead on recruitment, accessing of, and organising training of Leads and Service User Representatives

To build strong links and effective working relationships with commissioners, partners and local parents/families.

To ensure information is made available to Leads and Service Users in a timely and accessible way

To provide support to Leads with meetings and events including room bookings, administrative support, reimbursement for attendees, and distribution of papers both before and after meetings.

Support (along with Marketing and Communications Manager) promotion of the Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership including through the use of Social Media and identifying key partners and stakeholders and linking these with Leads as relevant to their role.

Supporting the organisation of events such as 15 Steps Provider visits to trusts and networking events

Lead on recruitment, induction and management of members and contributors

Analyse key data and information provided by Leads and key stakeholders to report to commissioners on MNVP outcomes to include reach of membership and exception reporting of any issues or concerns

Ensuring relevant materials and resources are available for Leads, Service user reps and Volunteers

Work closely with the commissioner to ensure current recommendations are covered and addressed with local parents/families in order to hear their views/experiences

To seek feedback from the commissioner in relation to views/findings submitted and inform Leads as relevant

To contribute to the management of relevant databases and record keeping systems making sure there is a complete and comprehensive audit trail of activity

To contribute to performance reporting by extracting data and other monitoring information on outcomes and targets, ensuring accuracy

Working with Service Lead to collate reports as requested.

To be the first point of contact for email communication from stakeholders and service users or lines of enquiry.
