Assistant Care Manager
Prior's Court Foundation
The closing date is 30 March 2025
Job summary
Are you passionate about autism care and making a positive impact in the lives of young people? We are looking for an Assistant Care Manager to join our team and support the Care Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our residential homes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated to delivering high-quality care, supporting staff development, and ensuring that the wellbeing of young people is always at the heart of everything we do.
Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Care Manager, you will work alongside the Care Manager to help ensure that the care we provide exceeds national standards outlined by Ofsted and CQC. You will assist in managing the home, providing direct support for young people, and helping to lead a team of dedicated autism professionals. In this role, you will be actively involved in mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with policies, and overseeing the care and learning practices for young people in your care.
Your responsibilities will include helping with the management of day-to-day operations, contributing to care plans, and supporting the team with training and development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to drive best practices in autism care, while fostering a safe, caring, and supportive environment for the young people.
About us
Priors Court is a registered charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs, aged 5-25. Set within a 50-acre site in Berkshire, we have extensive bespoke facilities to help the young people we support to be healthy, happy, more independent and have the opportunity to access the world of work.
We understand that the little things are actually the big things for an autistic young person, and we celebrate them as major milestones. A daily life skill gained or an anxiety conquered today is a stepping stone towards tomorrows work placement, or a shared special occasion with family.
Priors Court never stays still. We are ambitious for our young people and aspire to be a global leader for autistic young people with complex needs. We want to deliver outcomes for them beyond our imagination; to help transform the lives of even more autistic young people, and to develop practice improvements which we can share across the world.
