Job summary
Due to growth, we have an
exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our supportive
team and facilitate effective communication for all.
The successful
candidate will deliver Speech and Language Therapy services within schools in
Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde. Working in partnership with children, young people, their
families and the children's workforce, the new team member will be supported by
our Education and wider team and will be able to shape the innovative services delivered
by our organisation as a whole.
We are able to be flexible to find a candidate that is a good fit for our team and so can offer a full time, part time or term time only position depending on the candidate's preference.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will provide speech and language therapy services to children and young people as a member of the Education team.
This will involve working within schools who have commissioned our services to undertake assessments, deliver interventions, coach educational staff write targets and reports.

- Keep accurate records and provide written reports
- Set targets for therapy and monitor progress
- Provide intervention on an individual or group basis as required

- Hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision
