Job summary
Are you an NHSEmergency Medical Technician (IHCD) / Associate Ambulance Practitioner interested in paid event medical work? Would you prefer event medical work to frontline overtime / bank shifts? This is the role for you.
As an Emergency Medical Technician (IHCD) / Associate Ambulance Practitioner you will be part of the patient facing medical provision at operational events attended by St. John Ambulance Cymru. Volunteering is at the core of the charity and at most events you will be assisted by St. John Ambulance Cymru volunteers. You will be required to provide support, development, and mentorship to other personnel.
Main duties of the job
Undertake a full range of clinical duties in line with your established scope of practice, working within your scope of training, JRCALC clinical practice guidelines and St. John Ambulance Cymru policy and procedures.
As appropriate: assess, manage, refer, and convey patients.
Following clinical assessment, recognise and differentiate patients who are suitable for self- care following treatment from St John under JRCALC guidelines and the scope of your training.
