Brighton and Hove Federation (B&HF) is a member organisation, made up of 6 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) containing 31 GP Practices. We are here to support Practices, patients and communities; helping people to live a good life and making it easier for Practices to help them do that.
We area company limited by shares, with each of our 31 member Practices as shareholders. This means that we do everything with our Practices and their patients in mind. We work collaboratively to provide high quality clinical and support services to NHS Primary Care, as well as talking to patients, listening to feedback, and being willing to adapt to constantly improve our service.

Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the Enhanced Access GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long-term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals and other associated administrative tasks
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the Enhanced Access workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within B&HF
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare and complete the revalidation process
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the Enhanced Access team
Review and always adhere to B&HF protocols and policies
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times

Job responsibilities
You will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner for the Enhanced Access service, responsible for the provision of medical services to the population of Brighton and Hove, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
