Job summary

As the interim Operations Manager you will be overseeing the smooth operation of the projects in your portfolio, taking accountability whilst working collaboratively with senior leaders of the charity to develop and implement strategic goals.

Main duties of the job

Key tasks will involve, but limited to

  • Continuously improve the service delivery
  • Develop new projects and identify other projects that would match the charities ethos
  • Focus on health and safety of delivery service, keeping clients and employees safe
  • Improvement of service delivery against service contracts
  • Collaboratively working within the communities and specialist outreach portfolios and projects and other support functions
  • Working in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver smooth running, on budget services

Job responsibilities

Main Purpose of the role:

2. Take accountability for your portfolio whilst working collaboratively with the other interim operations manager and supporting each other as necessary.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships across all levels
  • Experience of operational management, governance, performance, contract monitoring and outcome reporting
  • Ideally you will have experience within a charity / health or social care
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Staff development and supervision
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly

Desirable

  • Experience of working with people who have drug, alcohol and or mental health needs
  • Experience of co-production work with clients in designing delivering and evaluating services
  • Experience of procurement processes, applying for statutory and third sector funding and funding pilot projects
