Job summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced InterimService Manager to work with our mental health support services. This role is being recruited with the dual purpose of:

Working with existing services where management and leadership capacity is stretched; and

Leading the mobilisation of new services which our client anticipates receiving funding for very shortly.

Catalyst Support is making a positive impact in the community by providing essential mental health support to those in need. The Service Manager is a critical role, ensuring the smooth operation and management of our services during this interim period.

Main duties of the job

.It is important that you are able to drive continuous improvement, building strong relationships with delivery partners, providing high quality services, on budget and in line with the service specifications. Building a culture where staff are valued and listened to is key and working hands on to develop and manage your teams.

The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to step into and lead through challenging situations. They will also be able to work in a constructive and collaborative partnership environment with key partner organisations, including the NHS, commissioners and other VCSEs.

About us

Catalyst is a non-profit organisation working with people who are dealing with issues stemming from drug and alcohol misuse and mental health including housing, involvement with criminal justice, relationships with family and friends and getting back into work.

Guildford-based for over 30 years, we work throughout Surrey and its borders in partnership with a wide variety of statutory and non-statutory organisations and bodies to provide support.

Delivery of services:

Lead and manage delivery of services, in line with the service specification of those services.

Monitor and manage service contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.

Ensure services are delivered within budget and to a high standard.

Identify and address any issues or risks related to the service contract.

Develop the model of delivery for new services.

Drive continuous improvement of the services, based on robust outcomes data and the experience of service users.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with our key partner organisations.

People Management:

Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team of service staff.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Experience of leading and managing a team with diverse skills sets and experience.
  • Experience of managing risk, incidents and/or safeguarding
  • Experience working in a partnership environment.

Desirable

  • Experience developing and delivering new services.
  • Experience of leading service improvement
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures which support effective and safe services
  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
  • Completed Trauma Informed Care training and can evidence implementation in supporting staff and clients
